Karyn Parsons born on October 8th, 1966 in Los Angeles, California is an outstanding American movie and television actress.
Born of a black mother, Louise, and a white father, Parsons studied at Santa Monica High School. Making her television debut in 1987 with "The Bronx Zoo", Parsons has appeared in several television shows and created a niche for herself as an actress.
The turning point in her life came in 1990 when she grabbed the role of Hillary Banks in a thrilling sitcom 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air'. The show that ran for six years gave Karyn a wonderful opportunity to showcase her acting abilities. Appearing in 133 episodes of the sitcom from 1990 to 1996, she enthralled her fans with her brilliant performance. She has also acted in movies like "Class Act" {1992}, "Major Payne" {1995}, "The Ladies Man" 2000}.
Karyn Pasons' is currently busy with her pet project called "Sweet Blackberry", which brings out a series of DVD animated films on the unsung African-American heroes. Her project took off with Henry Box Brown, a 19th century slave who hid himself in a dry goods container and reached Philadelphia, his abode of freedom after a 26-hour long hectic and dangerous journey.
Karyn Parsons has first married Randy Brooks and has two sons with him. The couple however got divorced in the early '90s. On February 8th 2003, she again married Alexandre Rockwell, a well-known director and together they have a daughter.
